Timetabling Methodology - A Radical New Approach
Edutimetabling will offer a new method of timetabling which we believe will help your school's efforts to raise pupil attainment. It is our belief that the experiences of the students should be our top priority, and that they should have their lessons planned accordingly. The process of allocating teachers to the classes is then based on an agreed blocking structure as shown below. This is created and modified to the school's requirements as part of the liaison process.
"Edutimetabling provides an accessible solution for timetable construction and support. This is one of the crucial keys that unlocks new levels of creativity and engagement for learners everywhere."
Professor Stephen Heppell
The timetable is entered into Nova-T for data delivery to the school and subsequently entered into the schools Sims.Net system. If a school requires a more traditional teacher-based structure, Edutimetabling will be pleased to offer this service as well. During the initial visits an Edutimetabling representative will expand and explain the methodology of this new approach.
Pricing Structure
The pricing structure for Edutimetabling will be individually costed for the Client school usually after a visit to the school by the Project Manager. It will be based on factors including
- the number of students on roll
- if the school has a sixth form or is caters only for 14-19 age group
- if the school is split site
- complexity of the Curriculum plan
- any extra work involved in the early planning of the Curriculum prior to its delivery
- the timetable is already written in another format and is data entry contract only
The price quoted and agreed will be fixed unless there are extreme changes in circumstances which affect details of the original agreed contract. Contracts can include elements of Support for Timetabling during the Academic year including remote data editing or online/email support with one of our Consultants.
